Match report Dear All

I just thought I will bring you all up speed on our standing in th league and how we faired in the must win game on Saturday.
The win against the Rosslyn on Saturday (away) meant that we were crowned champions of the 4th Division (with still one more game to be played this weekend), I am sure the guys are revelling in the thought of playing in the 3rd division next season.

The game on Saturday - Rosslyn batted first and through some indifferent bowling and fielding posted a score of 187/9 (55 overs).

The Bridges team in reply lost one of the openers with only 2 runs on the board, At this point in sauntered captain Marvel (Paresh), to join Angus at the wicket. From then on the game can only be described as sheer exhibition (nay, master class) of batting, the fielders did`nt require to move other than to fetch the ball from the neighbouring golf course. All the bowlers were treated with disdain and needless to say the Bridges team won the game by 9 wickets scoring at a rate 8.8 RPO, (Angus 100 n.o & Paresh 83 n.o).

Congratulation and big thanks to each and every club member that Supported the Saturday Fixtures.

Needless say we have one more game this Saturday which we must win to ensure a 100% record and the following Saturday 29th is the Cup semi - final which must be supported with a strong team in order that we do the double.
Both of these games are at home therefore , even if you cannot play your attendance as a spectator would be greatly appreciated.
